talking about poor decisions...

When i was a kid i really didn't think about what to be as an adult, i just wanted to play, sleep and being with my family. In high school i was debating between english translation and pharmacy, but in that time i didn't have any hopes to make it to an university. My "hidden passion" was to becoming a pathologist, because i love tha fact that they make autopsies and discover how a person died, but in Chile you have to study medicine and then choose a specialty, its was too much time, in my opinion, in something that don't matter for a pathologist and there's no intentions to make this field more visible and give it more founding.
When i had my dog "Plusho" i started to think in veterinary medicine, because i wanted to know everything about how to properly take care of him. I investigated about the career and i really liked it. A week before the PSU my dog was hit by a bus and died, that event made me even not want to study anything, but what make me decide to studying was i would take care of so many animals and give them my love and have a life like i wanted my dog to have.
At this moment i like the career, for me all subjects with maths are very difficult but the others i'm very confident that i can approve it.
I´m starting to speak more with my classmates, but is hard for me because everybody seems to have a friends group and i don´t know almost no one.
When i finish my career i hope to work in a lab researching and make new medicines to help animals with incurable diseases or  improve treatments to make their life a little better.

  1. I am very sorry for the loss of your dog, it is very difficult and I know what it feels like, but we will be there to take care of them and cure them, and do not worry about the groups, in this university there are many people similar to you that you have not yet found!

  3. I saw a program on Tv named Dr. Jeff. Dr. Jeff is a veterinary very similar to Dr. House. It's very motivating for this career.
